Volunteer Involvement 

ALL POSITIONS LISTED BELOW ARE AVAILABLE

 

 

Administrative Support - Help manage our front office by directing calls, answering general questions, and greeting and assisting our customers and visitors. Our administrative volunteers play a vital role in the efficient and effective delivery of our services.


Teaching Support - Provide administrative support, teach classes, or assist our training instructors. Classes in First Aid, CPR/AED, and Preventing Disease Transmission give individuals, communities, schools and workplaces the necessary information and skills to prepare safely and effectively to emergency situations.  Our Babysitter Training, Licensed Nursing Assistant Training, and Lifeguard training courses help youth and adults serve their communities as Red Cross professionals in their fields.   


Disaster Services - Groups and individuals are trained for Disaster Services including: disaster response through our Disaster Action Team (DAT), community first aid and preparedness training and volunteer coordination before and during large scale disasters. Other training courses include: Damage Assessment, Mass Care, Logistics, and Client Casework.


Community Education & Outreach - Distribute and/or attend functions to oversee the distribution of free informational material to the public on disaster preparedness, volunteer involvement, health & safety training, and other chapter services.


Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) -Provide outreach to service members and their families. Educate the general public about this key service of the American Red Cross, and in conjunction with community partners, provide support to local family members of the military. 


Youth Programs - Join Venture Crew 911 or The Youth Group or make your own club at your school!  We are always looking for new members and new adult leaders for our youth programs.
